AddaxAI is free to use for everybody. However, the development and maintenance of the platform require time and resources. We can’t do this work without the support of many valuable donors around the world – and we hope you’d like to become one of them. If you like the project, please consider supporting it with a donation.

Follow the steps below to install AddaxAI. If anything seems off, let me know and I’ll help you get on your way.

Step 1: Download installer

Click the button below to download the installer. This will save an EXE file to your Downloads folder.

Some antivirus software, VPNs, or proxy servers may interfere with the installation. If you encounter any issues, try temporarily disabling them during installation. Learn how to bypass virus detection here.

If you don’t have permission to change security settings (common on government or university computers), you can install AddaxAI manually without the installer. Follow the manual installation steps here.

Step 2: Get some coffee

The installer will now install the program by uninstalling the previous version (if present) and installing the latest version of AddaxAI. Depending on your internet connection, this can take some time. Feel free to grab a coffee and stretch your legs. After completion, it will create a shortcut on your desktop.

If you’re experiencing problems due to unstable internet, security issues, or something else – a manual install might solve it. See the steps here.

Notes

  • Update – Repeat this procedure to update to the latest version. There is no need to remove any old files when reinstalling or updating.
  • Shortcut – When the installation is finished, there will be a shortcut file on your desktop. You are free to move this file to a more convenient location. AddaxAI will open when double-clicked.
  • Multi-user install – The standard installation of AddaxAI is for the current user only. This avoids the need for admin rights, which can be restrictive for users on locked-down machines. However, it is possible to install AddaxAI for multiple users by following these steps.
